03:07 pm - Your obligatory NORAD Santa Tracker link ...is right here.
Santa is somewhere in the middle of Africa as I type this. I fear I won't be at the computer when he reaches North America.

01:08 am - The rumors are false... I have not fallen off the face of the earth. But I haven't posted here in a while, either, have I?
Let's see.... I'm still between jobs, but I'm hoping that doesn't last too much longer.
On the TV front, Heroes and Stargate Atlantis have been great. I've been watching Journeyman despite mixed feelings about it, but I gave up on Moonlight after two episodes. Eureka and Doctor Who have finished their seasons. Finally, I don't watch Bionic Woman because Mythbusters is on at that time and I don't have a DVR.
Oh, and my body seems to prefer a sleeping schedule that matches a timezone several hours to the west of here. Likely Alaska or Hawaii. This is the "fun" of being unemployed. *wry grin*

12:17 am - Salegate I have been stockpiling DVDs like they're going out of style. Besides the previously-mentioned A Dog's Breakfast and Stargate Atlantis season 2, I picked up season 3 of Atlantis at Best Buy on Wednesday after determining that $34.99 was the best deal I was going to find in the area.
Meanwhile, Wal-Mart has had the first four seasons of Stargate SG-1 on sale for $19.95 each, but no indication of how long the sale was going to last. Fearing that I might miss a great opportunity, I finally gave into the temptation today and picked up the season 2 set this afternoon... and decided tonight to go and get the other two seasons as well. (Hey, if it's a choice between going to Wal-Mart on a Friday night or during the day on Saturday, Friday night wins hands down.)
I'm really bad at this whole "resisting temptation" thing.

02:11 am - Hey, look -- a post! Picked up the Stargate Atlantis season 2 DVD set at Borders tonight. Thanks to the coupon I had (40% off a DVD box set), I only paid $30 for the five-disc, twenty-episode set. I can't resist a good deal.
Of course, I'm still looking to get season 3 at a good price. It will likely be acquired later this week.
More importantly, I picked up A Dog's Breakfast, the black comedy written, directed, and co-produced by David Hewlett, a.k.a. Rodney McKay of Stargate Atlantis. A number of Stargate actors appear in it (Hewlett himself plays one of the main characters) and it promises to be loads of fun. I'm looking forward to it.
You know, I really need to start seriously watching the DVDs in my backlog...

12:00 am - Portfolio For the curious, I just made some updates to my portfolio site, primarilly a new homepage that consolidates the old homepage and the projects page. I'm probably not done fiddling with this page, of course, but I'm pleased with what I've done so far.

11:34 pm - Birthday Loot For the curious, I got a rainjacket that's one size too small for me, a $20 Barnes & Noble gift card, and the Eureka season 1 DVD set. Woot!

01:39 pm - Bored Now I've been sitting here since 9:30 this morning waiting for something to do. Between the marketing department taking their time sending the information that I need to proceed on the project I'm supposed to be working on, other material that needs approval before it can be passed on to someone such as me, and a lot of people being out on vacation, no one has anything for me to do.
Basically, I'm getting paid to sit around and surf the web all day. Ah, the life of a contract freelancer... ;)

01:12 pm - So, yeah... I've got a LiveJournal account now.
Actually, it's not as impressive as it sounds. I really only created it
so I can post to friends' LJs and have that neat "Friends page"
aggregator. I have no intention of ditching WordPress anytime soon, so don't expect much in the way of exclusive content over here. Most of that will still be at Movie of My Life (now syndicated here thanks to the wonderful estirose).
